8 Ways to Improve your Digestion at Home

The struggle is real. Today more and more people are getting prescribed acid reflux medication and is on it for years. This causes major havoc on your digestion system. Resulting in your poor intestines to suffer, causing a backlash of symptoms.

A lot of people still struggle with “acid reflux” symptoms even when they have hardly any acid production. Why is this? When you eat your food your stomach needs to Churn the food to help with the digestion. When you don’t have enough bile and acid in your stomach, it can cause a title wave effect and splash up the esophagus. This results in the same burning feeling.

If you have been on an acid suppressant for more than 1 month, and you don’t have a current ulcer, I recommend speaking with your dr about your options. In the meantime, there are still a lot of things that we can do to help boost your digestion. Even if you haven’t been on an acid suppressant, there are so many things that we do that sabotage our digestion.

Digestion and Your Liver

A lot of people forget about this little guy, that runs the show for most things in our body. It doesn’t just filter all the stuff you put in your body, but it also helps makes the bile for your gallbladder. If you are eating junk food, on a lot of medication, or even drink often, your liver could be bogged down and you may need to look at doing a cleanse… In the future of course. Gallbladder?

Do you have one? There are a lot of people that don’t have one. This helps concentrate the bile your liver makes to help with digestion. If you don’t have one, your bile will continuously drip out and you will lack severely in your digestion. If this is you, It is usually recommended to take a bile salt or digestive enzymes with HCl with meals.

  • Avoid large quantities at meals

  • Organic when possible
