Balance your Moods with Essential Oils

Moods can be a tricky thing to balance in everyone, we are all biochemically different. What works for one may not always work for someone else. Essential oils have hundreds of different compounds allowing them to be used for multiple different things rather than just one thing.  When I feel that my emotions are out of sorts and need to be balanced, I always switch it up and see what oils I am drawn to that day. I love to close my eyes and inhale and see what resonates with me most.

Ever wonder how on earth can essential oils really affect your body and your moods? Inhaling any scent whether it be from an essential oil, chemicals, or foods; the smells work with the limbic system of the brain. The limbic system helps control: heart rate, blood pressure, memory, breathing, stress levels, even your digestion.

Emotional triggers that can be linked with smells, this can be a good thing, from smelling pine trees and it reminding you of the holidays. However, It can also trigger bad memories, causing your heart to pound, you feeling hot, your breathing gets swallow bring your back to a difficult time.
